Mom mode & Self publishing

Motherhood is one of life's greatest blessings, and as a stay-at-home mom, there is no greater joy than being able to spend time with your child. However, while being a mother is fulfilling and rewarding, it is also a demanding job that can leave little time for personal pursuits.

As a stay-at-home mom, I found myself constantly in "mom mode," which is why I turned to self-publishing as a way to channel my creativity and passion for writing. I spent countless days holding my son while he napped, vigorously typing on my phone. After putting my son and daughter to bed, I would spend the evening working on my laptop, sitting on the couch while my husband relaxed next to me.

Self-publishing a book was not only exciting and fun, but it was also a creative outlet that allowed me to express myself beyond my role as a mother. It gave me the opportunity to create something that was entirely my own and to share my thoughts and ideas with others.

One of the great things about self-publishing is that it allows you to have complete control over the entire process. From writing to editing, formatting to publishing, and marketing to distribution, you get to make all the decisions. This level of control can be empowering, especially for a stay-at-home mom who may feel like she has lost some of her independence.

Self-publishing also allowed me to work on my own schedule, which was essential as a mom. I could write whenever I had a spare moment, whether it was during my child's naptime or after my daughter and son went to bed for the night. I even found myself staying up a bit later than I should, just so I could get some work done.

Self-publishing a book as a stay-at-home mom may not have been the easiest task, but it was certainly a rewarding one.

It allowed me to tap into my creativity, express myself, and connect with others outside of motherhood and in tern made me a better more present mother with my children.
